My Creative Space 5 August 2010 - the gift of giving

This week has been fun filled and full of little children with big smiles on faces and fueled with friends, food and sweets.

All my creative energy has gone to making smiles. 

We've had cake and have sung the birthday song numerous times and to various people. It's been a great time for family, friendship, sharing, and coming together.

And so to make a great week even better, and because today
my creative space is about giving, Little Cooties will be hosting a giveaway,
in a bid to pay it forward for the great things I have received
and the wonderful people I have met since joining the crafting world.

My favourite at the moment is Gerties New Blog for Better Sewing,
just because every time I visit, there is either another great outfit that she has
made, or she has spent enormous amounts of energy showing us how to
sew, cut, drape and adjust. Not only that there is always something interesting
to read and beautiful vintage items to look at.

The other thing I love about Gertie is that she is from Queens, New York, and that to me is exotic and rare, so I get to have a peek-a-boo at a New Yorker

Giving

It's such a lovely world here in the blogosphere.

I come here for inspiration, motivation,
education, friendship and encouragement.

The other lovely thing about all you ladies out there, is your ability to give freely without requiring anything other than a comment, support and and the opportunity of following your creative journey.

I have received a few beautiful items to date as you can see here and here.

Last week again I received a fantastic gift from Calico and Co.

Amanda Fuller from Sydney has a great blog with LOTS and lots to see. 

She sent me this after I made a comment here. Thank you Amanda :)

I can't wait to sit down with it and a large cup of tea and get my stunted business growing again.

ooohhhh look what the postman brought........

a while back I entered a giveaway at Cafe Handmade and tweeted about it and took a look around the site. There are some great artists selling gorgeous products.
The wonderful news that I had won had me really excited as I was going to receive a handmade Mobile Phone Wallet by Kerri Ann (the crafter, not the TV presenter!)

And today, Mr Postman left this....

As you can see, I my phone and cards fit nicely and are looking forward to their first outing!
